The Japanese rock band ONE OK ROCK (ワンオクロック), formed in 2005, fuses different styles of  like alternative rock, post-hardcore or pop punk among others. It is composed of Taka (Singer), Toru (Guitar), Ryota (Bass-guitar) and Tomoya (Drums). Originally, they were a 5 member band, but guitarist, Alex left the band in 2009.

Taka’s family is well known for singers, his parents Masako Mori and Shinichi Mori were famous singers of the Japanase Scene and his little brother Hiroki is the lead singer of the band ‘MY FIRST STORY’ . Since their debut album in 2007 “Zeitakubyō”, they recorded a total of 7 albums and 2 EP’s.

In 2013, their 6th album was released, and following the album, they had their biggest arena tour ever, with 11 performances in 6 places all over Japan with 100,000 audience in total.
Their songs have  been featured in the movie sequel of Rurouni Kenshin. In the first movie, their song “The Beginning” was the official theme song. Both singles reached high positions in the ORICON singles chart.

Interestingly, in the movie, the main role of Kenshin is played by Takeru Sato, one of Taka’s childhood friends.The One Ok Rock song: C.h.a.o.s.m.y.t.h was composed by Taka for his best friends, where their initials make up the song’s name.

Two singles of ONE OK ROCK have been used in the video games “Black Rock Shooter: The Game” (2011) and “Dmc: Devil May Cry” (2013)
In recent years they have had a successful concert at the Yokohama Stadium!
Their future success is greatly anticipated.
